DAY 7: THE FAITHFUL GOD I
30 DAYS DEVOTIONALS WITH PREACHER SAM
THE RHEMA WORD FOR TODAY
SEPTEMBER 7, 2022.
TOPIC: THE FAITHFUL GOD I
BIBLE READING: ISAIAH 43:1-21
VERSE FOR MEDITATION: 2 THESSALONIANS 3:3 NKJV
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from evil one.
In our Bible reading, we see that in the moments of trails, God is still judged as faithful. Our ways are not His ways (Isa. 55:8); for His ways are past finding out (Rom. 11:33). “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” (Prov. 14:12; 16:25). The way of man is the way of death, but the way of God is the way of life (Ps. 16:1). Meaning there is no life if Jesus isn’t the way. Jesus is the only way to God and eternal life (cf. 1 Jn. 5:20), that is why the way is narrow. The broader way that leads to death is the any other way apart from God; which is the way of man (Matt. 7:13, 14).
The psalmist wrote, “Even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have…” (Ps. 23:4). So sometimes God can lead us through tough and challenging moments; not to mar us, but to make us. He will allow us to pass through the fire so that He purge us as gold (Mal. 3:3), prepared for greater glory (2 Tim. 2:20, 21). Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” (2 Tim. 2:3). “Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” (2 Tim. 3:12). Even in this testing process, God remains faithful, for He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Cor. 10:13). He will establish and guard you from the evil one (2 Thess. 3:3).
It is God’s mature that He is faithful. He makes a path through the mighty waters, and rivers in the desert. Let’s judge Him faithful.
1 Peter 4:19 NKJV
Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.
PRAYER:
FATHER, PLEASE HELP ME TO KEEP HAVING FAITH IN YOU. HELP ME TO REMAIN UNWAVERING, BECAUSE YOU’VE BEEN JUDGED FAITHFUL ALREADY. AMEN!
DECLARATION:
I KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT THE BEST THAT GOD HAS FOR ME; THERE IS MORE TO THIS! GLORY!
