TOPIC:
UNDERSTANDING THE MERCIES OF GOD I- THE LOVE DIMENSION
DATE:
2 SEPTEMBER, 2021
BIBLE
READING: EPHESIANS 3:14-21
VERSE
FOR MEDITATION: EPHESIANS 3:19 ERV
Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever
know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be
filled with everything God has for you.
The
mercy of God is an act of God’s benevolence towards man in order that he might
gain access into the heart of God where His compassion and the riches of His
love dwells.
These
riches of His love is in all dimensions but beyond measures, that is why it
surpasses all knowledge. The width of His love explains the outstretched arm of
Father to embrace you into His bosom, irrespective of who you are or what you
have done, the love dimension of His mercy is ever ready to receive you.
The
length of His love explains how far God can go to bring you closer to Himself,
and how far He can take you to bask in His benevolence. The length of His love
reveals how He proved His love towards us while we were yet enemies of Him, by
allowing His only begotten Son to die for the remission of our sins, so that
through that sacrifice, we might be forgiven and bask in His benevolence. (Ref.
Rom. 5:8-11; Jn. 3:16, Matt. 26:28).
The
depth of His love explains the kind of intimacy, partnership and fellowship He
wants to have with us. God is so much interest in relationships.
And
the height of His love explains His interest in lifting us up and blessing us
exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. These are the dimensions
of the riches of His love that is beyond measures and surpasses all knowledge;
this love of God cannot be fully understood.
PRAYER:
My Daddy, words will fail me to thank You enough for Your love toward me, it is
for this cause that I am bowing my knees. Thank You for Your love! Amen!
DECLARATION:
BECAUSE THE FATHER LOVES ME, I BASK IN HIS BENEVOLENCE.
