DAY 14: OBTAINING THE MERCY OF GOD II

 THE RHEMA WORD FOR TODAY

(A DAILY DEVOTIONAL WITH PREACHER SAM)

TOPIC: OBTAINING THE MERCY OF GOD II

DATE: 14 SEPTEMBER, 2021

BIBLE READING: HEBREWS 4: 12-16

VERSE FOR MEDITATION: MATTHEW 5:7 RSV

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Today we will continue from where we stopped on the steps in obtaining the mercy of God.

The third step is to come boldly. Before you can come boldly, you must first forgive and be merciful to your neighbour (Mk. 11:25, 25 NLT). Jesus Christ taught us to pray in this manner; “And forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.” (Matt. 6:12). Can we boldly pray this? “The way I forgave Mr. A, forgive me like that too.”

The fourth significant step is the location where the mercy of God is obtained. You may understand the mercy of God, you may go through Jesus Christ, or better put, take Jesus along with you. And you may be so bold enough to obtain this mercy of God, but you don’t know the location, then your journey is a total waste of time.

The location or place where mercy is obtained is the throne of grace. So when you pray for mercy, always have this consciousness and understanding that you are approaching the throne of grace where you can obtain mercy.

PRAYER: O Father of mercies, I come boldly before Your holy throne of grace through Jesus Christ, my Advocate, and by His blood to obtain mercy. I receive it in Jesus’ name. Amen!

DECLARATION: I AM BLESSED BECAUSE I HAVE OBTAINED THE MERCY OF GOD.
