THE JOURNEY SO FAR

The online ministry first started in September 23rd, 2013 as a WhatsApp closed group chat with the name, Soul Winners for Christ. The ministry was founded based on a personal revelation and heavenly encounter of the young preacher and co-founder of the ministry, when he had a vision of heaven and was commissioned by Jesus to go and preach the gospel by making disciples of all nations as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20. This encounter happened sometime around August, 2013.

Later on, the young preacher, Samuel Godwin-Oburoh started preaching in his school during the Friday school fellowship, back then in secondary school. It was during that period of time that he discovered that God had called him into the ministry and He had given him a ministry, that was when the name Soul Winners for Christ was changed to Soul Winning Ministry.

It was then that a Facebook group and page were designed to advance the gospel. And around this period in time in 2014, a Christian blog was designed for the ministry.

Though the blog was created, we began to gain recognition in 2017 and we hit 5,000 viewers in 2020 covering across United States, Nigeria,Ukraine, Germany, Russia, Portugal, Kenya, Poland, Belgium, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Peru, Vietnam, Brazil, Indonesia, Japan, India, Afghanistan, Turkey, Jamaica, and some other unknown regions.

Prior to this time in 2020 when God took the ministry internationally, He gave us the name for the ministry in proper around 2015/16 as BEING LIKE JESUS MINISTRY, it was around this time He gave us the vision, mission, aim, culture and slogan of the ministry.

Presently, the online ministry is on various social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram.

From 2015 till date, we've been receiving a yearly theme which will give us a guide in writing and publishing articles online for the year to substantiate Christ to the world.

This is the journey so far, and we won't stop running with our vision; getting more folks into the body of Christ. And our mission as a ministry is to obey the Lord in taking His Word to the dying and unsaved world. This is what we do! And we are waiting on God to start a networking system on site to aid the online ministry and advance the gospel of the kingdom.

2024: THE YEAR OF ESTABLISHMENT
