DAY 27: MARANTHA I
THE RHEMA WORD FOR TODAY
(A DAILY DEVOTIONAL WITH PREACHER SAM)
TOPIC: MARANTHA I
DATE: 27 SEPTEMBER, 2019
BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 24:30-35
MEDITATION/MEMORY VERSE: 1 CORINTHIANS 16:22 (THE VOICE)
May those who have no love for the Lord be cursed. Maranatha, “Our Lord, come!”
Maranatha is an Aramaic phrase used by the early Christians as an invitation for the Lord’s speedy reappearance (cf. Rev. 22:20). Maranatha thus, means “Our Lord, come!” or “Our Lord will come;” according to some, “Our Lord has come.”
There’s this ten year old girl who had the privilege to see how the coming of the Lord will look like last year. What she saw is biblical, and so I will cite chapter and verse to support her prophesy. Let us not forget God’s promise for these last days.
Joel 2:28
And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
From her writings:
My name is Favour Cletus, I am nine years old. I had a vision (Joel 2:28) when I was praying (Acts 11:5). I saw myself standing on the roadside, then I looked up and I saw a very bright man shining in the sky (Dan. 7:13-14; Matt. 24:30; Rev. 1:7; 1 Thess. 4:16).
He was riding on a horse (Rev. 19:11) and was accompanied with angels (Rev. 19:14; 1 Thess. 4:16; Matt. 24:31). I heard the song of HALLELUJAH in the heavens (Rev. 19:1-7) and these angels blew their trumpets to make melodies with the song (Matt. 24:31; 1 Thess. 4:16; 1 Cor. 15:52; Rev. 11:15). I was happy of what I saw (Rev. 19:7 ERV).
I saw some people’s body turning to sand [dust] (Gen. 3:19; Job 10:9; 1 Cor. 15:47), then they were transformed to a glorious body (1 Cor. 15:50, 53; Phil. 3:21), and they were moving up to the sky where that man was (1 Thess. 4:17). I also noticed my body too was transformed and was taken up to that man. I knew he was Jesus.
Later on, I found myself with some angelic beings praising God (Rev. 19: 4, 5; 4:9-11). I looked around and saw someone sitting on a big throne (Rev. 20:11), having a crown on His head (Rev. 6:2). I was so excited that I began to join those creatures in praising God (Rev. 21:4; 15:4).
And as I ended the prayers, ‘In Jesus’ name,’ that was when I came back to this real world.
ACTION POINT: I BELIEVE THAT CHRIST IS COMING!
PRAYER POINT: O LORD! PLEASE CREATE IN ME AN UNDYING HUNGER FOR YOUR RETURN.
PERSONAL READING: REVELATIONS 19:1-10
