Topic: SPIRITUAL MOUNTAIN II
Bible Reading: Joshua 14:6-15
Verse for Meditation: Revelations 17:9 NKJV
Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.
The second category is the Mountain of Influence. There are seven mountains under this category; the mountain of family; the mountain of economy and finance; the mountain of government; the mountain of religion; the mountain of education; the mountain of media; and the mountain of sports and entertainment (also called the mountain of celebrations).
And the third category is the Mountains of Opposition that stand against the first two categories.
Mark 6:23 NLT
Then he promised, “I will give you whatever you ask me, up to half of my kingdom!”
Children ask for bread, but sons ask for kingdom; this kingdom is the Mountain of Influence. And you can only possess this mountain by conquering it. You need to possess and conquer these seven mountains because you are the light of the world.
You must shine in all these seven spheres of influence, that the world through you may glorify God. We need sons of God in government and media, just like Daniel. We need them to manage the economy of the country, just like Joseph. We need them to model excellence in homes and in schools. We also need them in the entertainment industry (Christian drama and music entertainment). We need them to manifest God’s glory for the world to see. Now this is not in any way trying to promote carnality in the body of Christ, but a way of advancing the kingdom of God.
Revelation 11:15 NKJV
Then the seventh angel sounded: And there was a loud voice in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”
The world should no longer be influenced by darkness, but by light. But anyone who can’t journey into the mountains of God cannot conquer these mountains of influence. That’s why these mountains are not for babes, but for sons who can take up responsibility in conquering the world.
Many of us want to conquer the mountain of media but with the wrong mindset of becoming popular and not making God known. Many want to conquer the mountain of finance because of their lust for money; money has become their god. Some want to conquer the mountain of government by all means so that they can have it on record that they once ruled this nation. All these are the mentality of children; sons take up responsibilities to see God glorified.
When it comes to the Mountains of God, you climb them. When it comes to the Mountains of Influence, you ask, possess and conquer them. But the Mountains of Oppositions, you confront them to be moved out of your way. Jesus taught on this in Matthew 17:20.
Matthew 17:20 NIV
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Spiritual mountains are sometimes addressed to as spiritual gates. For instance when the scripture says, “This is the gate of the Lord, through which the righteous shall enter.” (Ps. 118:20). This refers to the Mountain of God. And this too, “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” (Matt. 16:18). This refers to the Mountain of Opposition 9cf. Ps. 9:13; 107:18 and Isa. 38:10).
Then the Bible explains that Samson confronted the gate of opposition, and moved it to the top of a hill that faces Hebron (Judg. 16:3). And Hebron means, “The seat of association.” In other words, this gate of opposition was dealt with at the top of the Mountain of Influence.
For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
Opposition will surely come, as far as you want to conquer kingdoms for God. The above scripture didn’t say, “... but there are many adversaries.” Instead it says, “... and there are many adversaries.” Meaning it’s necessary for the building up of our faith and a need for you to ascend higher and above every obstacles, limitations and oppositions.
James 1:2-4 NKJV
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
You cannot deny the fact that there are Mountains of Oppositions before you, and this is what the Lord is saying to you:
Zechariah 4:7 NKJV
Who are you, O Great Mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”
PRAYER:
FATHER, HELP ME NOT TO GIVE UP WHEN YOU WANT ME TO COME UP HIGHER. AMEN!
DECLARATION:
EVERY MOUNTAIN IS MADE PLAIN TODAY IN MY LIFE.
