Many people have said we shouldn't judge, it's a sin to judge. And they quote Matthew 7:1-2, which says "Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged." This has a cross-reference in Leviticus 19:15, "Do not twist justice in legal matters by favouring the poor or being partial to the rich and powerful. Always judge people fairly." So Matthew 7:1-2 is saying that we should judge fairly. In the King James Version; "Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: BUT IN RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALT THOU JUDGE THY NEIGHBOUR" (Lev. 19:15).
