WHAT DOES BIBLE SAY ABOUT JUDGING OTHERS?

Many people have said we shouldn't judge, it's a sin to judge. And they quote Matthew 7:1-2, which says "Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged."
This has a cross-reference in Leviticus 19:15, "Do not twist justice in legal matters by favouring the poor or being partial to the rich and powerful. Always judge people fairly."
So Matthew 7:1-2 is saying that we should judge fairly. In the King James Version; "Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: BUT IN RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALT THOU JUDGE THY NEIGHBOUR" (Lev. 19:15).

Luke 6:37 NLT
Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.

Judging unfairly is a sin. In the church, you're judged for wrong doing (this is called admonition).

2 Thessalonians 3:14-15 KJV
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.  Yet count him not as an enemy, but ADMONISH him as a brother.

Finally, Luke 12:57 NIV
Why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?

Judging rightly or fairly isn't a sin.
