30 DAYS OF GOD'S LOVE (THE MYSTERIES OF HIS LOVE)

 30 DAYS OF GOD’S LOVE

(THE MYSTERIES OF HIS LOVE)

PREAMBLE:

Ephesians 3:17-19 NKJV
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—
19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Apostle Paul in his letter to the churches in Ephesus prayed for the churches there that they may be rooted deeply and established in Christ’s love. Understanding how wide, how long, how deep and how high is His love will fill us up with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Simply put, the understanding of His love provides for us a better relationship with Him.

This love, Paul says it surpasses all knowledge; it is so great that we will never fully understand it. This is why I call it the mysteries of His love.

In this devotional, we shall be covering the scope of GOD, MONEY AND SEX. These three have either been misconstrued or avoided in our churches. Questions about God like, ‘is God of the Old Testament the same as the God of the New Testament?’ ‘Does God punish me when I sin?’ ‘Is God a moral monster?’ and also questions relating to God like, ‘did Christianity come from the Jewish religion?’ ‘What is worship?’ ‘What is the essence of the cross and the blood?’ ‘How is a man saved?’ ‘Am I truly saved at all?’ ‘What happened during the fall of man?’ ‘Did the fall affect me too?’ ‘What is spiritual warfare?’ ‘What is spiritual attack?’ ‘What are strongholds?’ and so on, will be answered in the 30-day journey into the love of God.

Questions about money like, ‘what is the principle of giving?’ ‘Why should I give to God?’ ‘Who should I give to?’ ‘Should I desire to be rich as a believer?’ ‘How can I be rich the God way?’ And about sex, questions like, ‘If God is not counting my sins against me, why is sexual sin a weighty matter?’ ‘Is sex a sin at all?’ ‘How can I stay away from sexual sin and addiction?’ ‘Will God punish me for my past mistakes of sexual immorality?’ ‘Can God still use a sinful me for His glory?’ ‘How can I deal with past mistakes of sexual immorality’ and so on.

And an easy tip on how to interpret the Bible objectively for yourself as a bonus in one of the topics. This is a devotional you won’t want to miss a day because each topic will bless you in no small way. And it promises to improve your walk and devotion to God, it also promises to make you to have a better relationship with God.

In addition to this 30-day journey, I have provided a Bible reading plan for beginners, where we will be reading the books of John’s gospel, Romans, Ephesians, Galatians, Colossians, John’s first epistle and the book of Proverbs. These 7 books will help any starter to understand the intent of the gospel, our identity in Christ, the believer’s love walk and the wisdom for everyday living. I recommend you read these books using The Passion Translation Bible (TPT), to make it more fun to read.

The name, ‘Rhema Word for today’ was changed on purpose, because of the tautological expression. ‘Rhema’ is actually a Greek word for ‘Word’. So we decided to give another name for this devotional, ‘Phronesis Devotional’. ‘Phronesis’ is a Greek word for ‘Prudence’ or ‘Practical wisdom’. The goal for our devotional from the start was to share Bible commentaries that are relatable and practicable for our everyday lives, and so the best name to give to our devotional is, ‘Phronesis’.

So are you ready for a joyride into the love of God? Let’s go!!!
