2023: THE SEASON OF THE FACELESS AND NAMELESS GENERATION

Colossians 4:12 NLT

Epaphras, from your city, a servant of Christ Jesus, sends you his greetings. He always prays earnestly for you, asking God to make you strong and perfect, fully confident of the whole will of God.

This man Epaphras might not be well-known, for Paul to write to the church in Colossae that he is a member (not even a worker) of that church. Then he made it known to them that the reason why they are standing perfect and complete in all the will of God is because one 'unknown' man laboured fervently for them in prayers.

Ezekiel 22:30 NLT

I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn't have to destroy the land, but I found no one.

Here God told prophet Ezekiel that He is looking for someone among them to intercede. Some versions put it as 'a man.' Nobody's name was mentioned. Just like Epaphras, someone who is also faceless.

As we gradually approach the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, God is looking for just an intercessor (Isa. 59:16) this season to pray for the perfection of the church (Col. 4:12 cf. Eph. 4:13).

For this cause, the good Lord has declared this year a year of prayer and warfare. This is the season of the faceless and nameless generation. Wise men will utilise this year to pray.

I welcome you all to the year of prayer and warfare. Happy New Year!
