30 DAYS OF GOD'S FAITHFULNESS (THE PROMISES OF GOD)
INTRODUCTION:
God had promised us all things in Christ (2 Cor. 1:20) and now we have them in heavenly places (Eph. 1:3; cf. Ps. 119:89). But why are many of us believers living as though we don’t have the blessings? Why does it look as if the Christian life is a life of bondage? Did God lie to us about His blessings to us? So many questions that can make us doubt the integrity of God’s word. But truly, God is not a man that He should lie, nor is His word full of empty promises (Numb. 23:19; 1 Kings 8:56; Isa. 55:11; Mal. 3:6). He has been judged faithful (Heb. 11:11), His name is faithful (Rev. 21:5). So the problem is not with Him, but with us. The scripture says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you from being priest for Me…” (Hos. 4:6). Who are God’s people? In second Chronicles 7:14, God’s people are the praying people. So these praying people, who are priests are still destroyed because of lack of knowledge. There are some understanding we need to have to walk in the blessing. When Apostle Paul was writing to the church in Ephesus, he wrote, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” (1:3), and then he added, “Therefore I also… do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” (1:15-18). Apostle Paul was praying strategically for the believers to come to the understanding of the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. So if their eyes of understanding is being enlightened, then they will know what the hope of His calling is. This devotional is a journey to explore the necessary knowledge to apply and to walk in the blessing. And I’m sure that this will bring deliverance to so many people. Mysteries will be unveiled, eyes of understanding will be enlightened, the required understanding will come as light to the simple and we all will not just judge Him faithful, but also walk in the blessing. With this I welcome you all on a 30 journey into the faithfulness of God and receiving all of His promises and walking in the blessing.
