LESSON FROM MY LITTLE NIECE II

‘Uncle Tuoyo, thank you,’ Shalom, my little niece appreciated. I didn’t know what she was thanking me for, though I replied her, ‘Thank God,’ and continued unpegging and taking off the clothes from the line. It was evening, and I didn’t trust the weather for a dry night. ‘Uncle Tuoyo,’ she called out my name again, ‘I want to take my clothes inside.’ Was that what she was thanking me for? Well, I didn’t ask her, I gave her her clothes to take inside. Then, I learned something from her. She decided to take up the responsibility. And so, I will be sharing with you on TAKING RESPONSIBILITY. I must confess, I sometimes get away from responsibilities, but what this little girl did, make me; or should I say challenge me, to always take up responsibilities. The Bible says, ‘Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.’ (2 Pet. 1:20, 21─KJV). So it means that Apostle Paul had a great intimacy with the Holy Spirit, because he wrote about half of the New Testament. Yet he said, ‘I want to know Christ─ yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.’ (Phil. 3:10-12 ─NIV). Apostle Paul?
