YOUNG BOYS & GIRLS MENTALITY

YOUNG BOYS & GIRLS MENTALITY
Many young boys and girls feel too big and pompous when they become teenagers. They change their mode of dressing, talking, walking, etc.
When young boys become teenagers, they:
-bring down their trousers and shorts below their waist (sag)
-walk ‘guy-lishly’
-fly their collar
-love dressing like the young Americans they see on TV
-get a phone that is browsing-supportive
-make lots of friends including girlfriends (a girl that someone is having a romantic/sexual relationship with)
-get involve with drugs, smoking and drinking of strong drinks

When young girls become teenagers, they:
-love hair beauty and make-ups
-love fashion
-‘cat-walk’
-love to copy the latest beauty/fashion they see on TV
-get a phone that is browsing-supportive
-make lots of friends including boyfriends (a boy that someone is having a romantic/sexual relationship with)

But all these are fleshy desire of the world. But Christian teenagers don’t get involved with those things listed above; they don’t have the world so-called ‘big boy/girl’ mentality. The only ‘big boy/girl’ mentality they have is the mind of Christ; they believe what the scripture says about a big boy/girl.
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” 1 Pet. 5:6 [KJV]
Christ said in Luke 18:14: “... for everyone that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.” [KJV]
Christian teenagers believe that if they humble themselves before God, they will be exalted. They follow the right precept of a ‘big boy/girl’; Christ humbly washed his disciples’ feet before his crucifixion; he even humbled himself to death; and now his name has been highly exalted that at the mention of his name every knee, on earth, under the earth and in heaven, should bow and confess him as Lord, to the glory of God the Father. [Jn. 13:1-17; Phil. 2:5-11].
The world so-called ‘big boy/girl’, exalt themselves and later experience their down-fall [Prov. 16:18; 29:23]. And they will never apologise or take to correction.
But Christian teenagers humble themselves and later experience their exaltation from God. And they will never apologise to be a Christian.
So my question is this, what kind of ‘big boy/girl’ mentality do you have?
