WHAT TRUE LOVE IS
“Jasmine,” Jerry stretched forth a well-wrapped gift towards her, “you know I like you?” Jasmine reluctantly took the gift and said, “No, I don’t.” “Okay,” he smiled, “I do. This is just a scene of the many things that go on in our society. “Like,” from my own little study in my community is a euphemistical way of “Love”. They try to make the word, “Love” mild. But this “Love” that these people try to make the word mild, is not properly defined. True love is not mere saying; true love is shown by actions (1 John 3:18). And proving your love is not by buying gifts or “making love”; proving one’s love involves sacrifice (John 15:13; Ephesians 5:2; 1 John 3:16).
